From Dr Julia M MBE: I was terribly sad to hear of Paul’s passing. He and I were friends and colleagues for many years. Initially, he was Secretary and I was Chair of Cardiff North CLP and together we made a number of important changes to democratise how the constituency was run and contributed to policy developments at a national level. In latter years he was on the Schools Budget Forum when I was Cabinet Member for Education with Cardiff and again was an extremely supportive and valued contributor. Paul was one of the kindest, gentlest people I have ever worked with and I am truly sorry for your loss.
